History of the Playscape Project

On December 19, 2003, the State Bond Commission of Connecticut approved a grant in the amount of $180,000 for the construction of a new playscape at Brodie Park in New Hartford.  The funding, which was awarded directly to Friends of Brodie, LLC, will cover all costs associated with purchasing and installing a handicapped accessible playscape, including insurance and management costs.  Support for the project came from Senator Thomas Herlihy (R-Simsbury) and Rep. Richard Ferrari (R-East Granby).

The Big Build started on Thursday May 12, 2005
